You are not going to win; not this time.
You stole my best friend from me at the tender age of 26 years, but you will NOT steal my mother-in-law.
You have weakened her, but you will not conquer her. You are no match for her vitality and her spirit. Come Monday, you will find that the fear your presence has brought into her heart has coalesced into something different, something stronger and infinitely more powerful than you are.
Resolve.
Come Monday the battle, and the countdown to your defeat, will begin. You will be vanquished, not just by a series of powerful chemical cocktails, but by intangible things that your black, workmanlike destruction is not capable of understanding or touching.
Because ultimately you and your filth and foul are no match for a woman of beauty and strength; a woman of courage and exuberance, who has survived the Nazis and routed opponents half her age on the tennis court.
Mark my words: you are no match for her.
You are no match for this family.
You are no match for love.
You are NOT going to win; not this time.

I'm so sorry that she has to go through this. It sounds like she's a fighter though! Prayers for her and your family...
I'm so sorry, cancer is absolutely the worst. I wish you guys weren't dealing with this right now. Lots of prayers for your MIL and your whole family.
Oh, damn. Fight it, I know you all can.
Prayers, for you all through this. I think it is a nudge for me to get registered once again for the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. I lost my mother and my sister to the fiend, and have participated in the walk twice now. I was heistating because of schedule problems and an aching hip. Besides raising money for research and support services, it raises awareness and reminds me of the many who fight and survive.
I'm sorry! But I am confident you & your family have the strength to beat this. Thank you for this powerful post!
Sadly, I empathize with you on this and so many levels. Your defiant tone is inspiring, and I know it'll give her the strength she needs to overcome this latest battle in a life that has already seen too many.
There's a unique unfairness to a survivor being so challenged yet again. But if anyone can beat it, it would be her. You're all in my thoughts.
I want to send you and your mum-in-law my wishes for love and light, strength and courage to continue this fight - You will all be in my thoughts x
I hope she does win.
(((hugs)))
Bastard cancer. Hell no it won't win!
Your MIL and your family are in my prayers. Fight! Win! I know she will.
I want to jump up and swing my fist in the air with you....
I'm right here cheering her on.
Stay strong!!!
I hope the fucker's listening.
F**KING CANCER.
You know your family is in my thoughts. Your mother in law sounds like an incredible woman. If anyone can put that stupid C-word in its place, it's her.
Take that, stupid cancer. Go your Mother-in-Law!
Way to tell it off Kelly!
You sound pretty confident that she can beat this thing and I PRAY that you are right! : )
I will be keeping your family in my thoughts.
A close friend of mine died from cancer of the liver at the age of 39.
Hoping you're right. Cancer is such a terrible disease.
They say a lot of how long someone lives with cancer or better yet, without it, has a lot to do with attitude and it sounds like your MIL is spot on.
Definitely the right attitude to be going into the fight with.
I hope her treatment goes well.
Your MIL and your family will be in my prayers.
You tell it Kelly! We will all say it again for you!
I sure as hell hope so.
my best,
erin
I am so sorry your MIL has been diagnosed with cancer. I hope all all goes well. Your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Kelly, I am so very sorry. My MIL is going through the same thing starting next week. And she will beat it for the third time. The last time.

I'll be thinking of her and your family.

That's where I start telling my story.
Have a nice holiday and come back invigorated.
Hugs! And lots of strength for all of you but especially the MIL! She will triumph!
Kel, you know I'm with you on this 1000%... your MIL will whip cancer on its ass.
Hugs and love sent your way...
How wonderful, the strength you carry for her, the love you carry for her. How wonderful the attitude you have towards this horrid evil thing.
With this, you will be her utmost support and with your optimism and support you will help her in this battle.
I'm optimistic in the strength that you share she has to win this battle. Cancer is a coward.
fight it! beat it down! MIL will win.
*hugs and thoughts*
Wishing your MIL well and godspeedh in her battle.
Your words to cancer are nicer than mine. I want to use expletives as I am sure you do, too.
cancer may be beating Brian's body, but it has NEVER EVER defeated his spirt.
KEEP BELIEVING
