Diva gone wild: a hair story

My husband begged me not to fall back into old habits.

"You're better than that now," he said. "You're worth more than that. We may not be rich, but we've come a long way since those days".

But I missed the excitement of it, you know? The thrill. I missed just being young and adventurous and not caring about long-term results or consequences. Truth be told, I craved the excitement of something just a little bit dangerous.

And so, the night before I was due to leave for the BlogHer conference in San Fransisco, I threw caution to the wind and I did it.

What wild and crazy thing did DMD get up to on the eve of BlogHer? Scoot on over to my Shooting For Hip column at Better Than A Playdate for all the deets and pictures too...

Your hair looks great and it goes really well with your date's blue fur! I think that may be one of the things I'm most jealous of - you guys getting to meet Grover!

I like it. And, the good thing about "messing with" the hair? You can always change it again, or back, or whatever! Hooray for you!

Oh NO WAY GIRL!!!! I just CUT my own hair last night and I thought you were going to say you did the same. My result was not as nice as yours but I am a total cheapo. I told my daughter (8) that I needed to get it fixed. She said, WHY? I think it looks beautiful Mommy. Okay, I'll leave it.

Ahh, I have colored my hair every 6-8 weeks since I was 20 (that's 16 years & counting). I am currently on Nice & Easy 102. My husband begs to see my natural hair color. I tell him, you wouldn't be too impressed. And I tell him, anyway, you already have seen it.....

Oh yeah, I like it! I was a crazy girl when I was younger too - hair was such an easy thing to change. I'm thinking orange probably was the least attractive one I tried, but hey, it grows out, right?

You did a great job! I like the color - If only I were that brave...

Just left you a comment over at your other place. I had a feeling you did your own hair :) It was either that or chopped it all off and went super short...which was doubtful because you have such great hair and I would never dream of cutting it if I had your hair!

LOVE the shade you chose. You look faaaaaaaabulous!

i have been doing my own hair forever and have never even thought of doing it any other way.

its cheap, its easy and you can vacuum while you wait for it to set.

I loved your hair and the color is even more striking in some of your photos! You did a great job and you looked FABULOUS. You are so darling, though, you would look good in any ol' color hair! I'm so glad we got to meet and spend some time together - you are just as sweet and smart and FUNNY in person as I expected. Take care and I'll see you soon - Kellan
