What the world needs now

Because my mother in law remains in the hospital, though much improved, thanks, in no small part I believe, to all your heartfelt good wishes and prayers...

Because I just learned that my dear cousin's 34-year-old sister-in-law unexpectedly died in her sleep at her parents' home on Christmas morning...

Because Christmas, for all the joy it brings (and it DOES bring joy), is hard and tiring work...

Because of all the things that prevent us from enjoying Christmas like we did when we were children, isn't it true that we could ALL use just a little bit more cute in our lives?

Of course it is.

You're welcome.

Now go pour yourself a big ole rum and egg nog as a thank you to YOU for once again making holiday magic happen for the ones you love. I'll be back soon with a real post - promise!

That is terrible news about your cousin's SIL... tragic! Hope your MIL gets out of hospital soon ... it is not the best place the best of times, but over the holidays, just ugh.

What is going on this Christmas? I am trying so hard not to be bitter. Little Graham there is helping lots.

Hugs to you too...

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law and the cousin's SIL. I know how it is- my dad has been in and out of Emerg for the past week with a failing heart.

Thanks for the cute. I've heard an awful lot of Christmas sadness out in the bloggy (and real) world this year. I'm so sorry for your cousin and all of her family.

Oh Kelly, I am so sorry.
and thank you for his sweet face, don't our children just bring such joy into our days? Lovely.

My Uncle's mother fell and hurt herself and her son died on Christmas Eve. Not a good day for their family. It's too bad that things like this happen on Christmas, but I suppose death doesn't care.

Glad to hear your mother in law is improving.

So sorry about your MIL and your cousin's SIL!

If only I could have some rum... The things I give up to carry a child!

Oh, sweetie. What a horrible bunch of misery your family is facing. I'm so sorry. I will join the others in praying for all concerned.

Thanks for the cuteness fix. You are right - we could all do with a lot more of it in our lives.

Merry post-Christmas and Happy pre-New Year
