Zut alors! Mah nez est sore

Sick.

Oh my Lord, the sick.

I know it's just a summer cold, but good God I am miserable.

I am poking out from behind my pile of used kleenex to say that we three - Rob, Graham and the congested diva - are headed to Mont Tremblant, Quebec tomorrow to celebrate St. Jean Baptiste Day and to enjoy some much needed family time.

Graham is ecstatic at the prospect of trying his first poutine: I am practising saying "Sorry I'm such a snotty mess" en Francais.

Will try to post pics.

I'm at the beginning of that cold - hacking and coughing... I try to ignore it, but I really can't afford to. Anything going down into my lungs could become serious.
Wish me luck - or send me the receipe for your bestest home remedy!

Ugh. There is nothing worse then a summer cold. Too bad they recalled all the Zicam because that always worked for me. I have also found eating lots of garlic- as raw as possible- helps my colds. I just chop up about 3-4 cloves and cook it in a pan with a little olive oil for like 1 minute and then eat with pasta and some fresh parm. But I never had to travel after eating that dish! LOL! Good luck.

I've never had poutine, but hear that it's to die for. Let us know how Graham likes it!

Summer colds are the worst.
Enjoy Tremblant. It is such a beautiful place. And Poutine rocks (make sure it is made with curds, although no self respecting Quebecois would ever make it with anything else!)

I've never had a kid be excited to eat anything new. Lucky you! Just getting over the summer cold over here. Drugs are gooooood.

You need to get better - one needs all of one's senses to fully appreciate the culinary delight that is poutine.
(I LOVE poutine.)

Sigh. Well, if you have to be sick, maybe it's at least nice to be sick in a place like that? I used to get a cold every summer like that. Hope you can have fun!

Ugh, it stinks to be sick in the summer.

I actually like poutine...there are people I know who think it's gross, but not me. YUM.
