Loving food as I do, I often feel bad for my mother-in-law.
In addition to being somewhat lactose intolerant, she is highly allergic to gluten which means that so many of the tasty treats I take for granted are verboten to her. Breads, pastries, beer, even gravy and sauces with traces of flour are all off-limits.
Lucky for my mother-in-law, however, my lovely sister-in-law and chef extraordinaire LeeAnne also feels bad for her. LeeAnne feels so bad, in fact, that she has spent many, many hours developing and perfecting delicious gluten-free deserts on her behalf.
This August I'm proud to be featuring some of LeeAnne's greatest gluten-free creations over at Don Mills Diva Recipes and Reviews. To kick things off click on over and check out her recipe for Best-Ever, Gluten-Free Brownies!

None of these? I should be this way, I might actually lose some weight. :) I'm off to look.
NOT the BEER?! That is sad.
I just gave away a box of wheat gluten, I'm not sure why I ever bought it to begin with?
It is amazing to me how many people there are that can not have gluten. That has got to be rough.
I am allergic to wheat and all things wheatish, and while I try to avoid them, I do indulge.
It's too hard not too...so I suffer w/ the consequences.
HUGELY looking forward to clicking over and checking out these recipes. Thanks for the heads up!
Ooo I will be sure to check this out. I have a friend whose son has to be gluten free.
What? I would lose my mind without all of those scrumptous foods. I have to have them. Just look at my butt, it explains how much I need those foods. It get's hungry and needs it's food.
That is so sweet of your SIL. I'm sure she put some serious effort into that. How nice!
That would suck to be gluten free. I am so glad that I don;t have any issues. Your poor MIL.
That is so sweet of you to think of her!!!!
There's such a boom going on right now - in Vancouver at least - for gluten free living. Even people without a confirmed allergy are becoming sensitive and avoiding it.
I think...at the risk of seeming over-materialistic, that your sister should market those recipes into a book!
DMD, I think I love you! On my way over to check it out.
How timely! I JUST had a test for celiac disease last week.
Gluten is SO good - but thanks for sharing the gluten-free choices.
I will have to let my neighbor know about these recipes, her son is autistic and she is trying the gluten free diet.
I can't imagine not being able to eat all of those things!
I know someone who will LOVE to read this post! love love love
Excellent!
Ethan and I have been gluten free for a few weeks and it's a TON of work! I'm thrilled to find more recipes!
I think I would die without gluten. I really do. It should be interesting to see if the recipes prove me wrong!
Going to check out the recipes:)
How neat, I'm definitely going to give these to my friend who has the same allergies. :)
