Shooting for health (and thinner thighs)

Before I get into my wrap up on the last four weeks I spent participating in the President's Choice Healthy Eating Challenge I'd like to direct your attention to the name of my column over at Better Than A Playdate.

It's called Shooting for Hip.

Emphasis on shooting: as in aspiring towards, trying, struggling, seeking, working on it, giving it a go, taking a crack at it, etc.

Diva though I may be, I have never pretended to be the picture of hipness and after four weeks of "shooting for" it, I am not the picture of health either.

But I have learned a few things.

What could the diva possibly have learned? Is hipness a real word? How will this healthy challenge end? Click here to find out.

(You don't seem to look like you need thinner thighs!)

"Most of all I've learned that when you're a mom and you're shooting for hip or shooting for health, something has usually gotta give and that's okay."

I'll drink to that!
(A healthy lowfat smoothie, of course).

Glad you're taking care of yourself, although I have to agree with brittany - I don't really see the need for thinner thighs?

Hmmm, looks interesting. I think I'll have to spend some time perusing it. I'm trying to eat better and just be healthier. Thanks for the link, and thanks for stopping by earlier! :)

If you need thinner thighs....I'm in BIG TROUBLE!!!

Maybe one day I'll jump off the fat ship and into the healthy boat.

On the other hand, I don't drink - except on rare occasions. I gave up smoking years ago. If I gave up my chocolates too I would be damn near perfect and that wouldn't be fair to others...dontcha think?? HA!

Interesting. Time challenges us all. I trained religiously for marathons every year,I ate extremely well and took the time to shop for only the freshest and best foods in my quest to maintain health while running up to 35 kilometers a day. Now I eat even better, which is hard to imagine, than in my training days because of my awareness of what can implode one's health from store bought crap. I shop only the perimeters of the isles.

Let's talk about thighs. Shall we?

I wish that Fifi's thigh were acceptable and deemed cute amongst thirty year old women. (Posted a video of her thighs on my blog)

Life would be great. :)

Speaking of hips (ahem) I believe I now have arthritis in mine. Woke up from a dead sleep last night with hip pain. And it was raining.

I guess I need to "Shoot for Youth".

You've made more progress than I have. I set my DVR to record a work-out series, but have yet to attempt to watch/do!
