Uncle

Rob's dad is in the hospital.

We aren't certain exactly what is wrong, but he isn't doing so well. Rob's brother and sister-in-law are with him. He is undergoing a series of tests and we are vacillating between whether to stay in Quebec and try to maintain some sense of normalcy for Graham or to make the almost eight-hour drive home the day after our arrival.

Needless to say Rob and I are finding it difficult to eat or sleep, let alone relax.

Universe, God, Karma, whoever or whatever you are?

Uncle.

Just uncle.

  2. I'll pray. Even staying, it's tough to enjoy a vacate with something wrong so far away.

  28. This is my first visit to your site and this entry caught my eye. We had a year like this last year...I had two major surgeries, my husband lost his father, we lost SIX neighbors in an 18-month time span, most of them last year. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. We were at the point of "What ELSE, Lord?" They say bad things come in 3's but sometimes we're hit by avalanches as well. Hope things have calmed down for you. But, this too shall pass and, for the most part, it has.
